Is the Pamlico Sound too shallow to foil?
Many areas of the Pamlico Sound are too shallow for foiling, but there are some notable exceptions. The Watermen’s Foil Garden is located right off our private launch site. This stretch of water is the perfect depth for all flat water foiling sessions.
Can anyone learn how to foil?
Yes! The coaches at REAL have foil instruction down to a science. But it’s way more fun than actual science. You start foiling behind a jet ski and many students are up and flying their very first session.
Can I rent gear?
Many of our guests travel light and rent their foil gear at REAL. The REAL Rental Shop rents all the latest foil gear from Armstrong, Slingshot, Naish, Lift, Freedom and more. They can also get you outfitted if you’re looking to start foiling at home.
